Why an endowment fund?
Endowment funds are useful vehicles that provide
regular financial support to various types of
non-profit and charitable organizations.
A large
number of universities, private schools, hospitals
and even summer camps create endowment
funds to support their programs, build new
facilities, and purchase new equipment. The
benefits of
such a fund to Luther Village would
be no different and would
allow us to do many
great things!
• Upgrade, renovate and build new cabins and
facilities
• Improve our grounds, such as newer boat
docks, better roads
and improved drainage,
greener sporting fields

LV
• Purchase new equipment, such as fishing boats,
vehicles, major appliances, maintenance and
kitchen equipment
• Enhance programming, through the purchase
of kayaks, camera and video equipment for the
Performing Arts Camp and a paved basketball
court, to name a few options
• Strengthen our campership programs and
create a new Lutheran Urban Ministry
campership to bring inner city youth and
families out to camp.
In addition, with proper planning, an endowment
fund will eliminate the need to
conduct last
minute capital campaigns
to address capital. |
