• July 22-28 • July 29-August 4 • August 5-11 • August 12-18 At Luther Village, family camping is our specialty. Your entire family (defined as...a group of people who love and take care of each other) can enjoy the outdoors, our amazing activities, fabulous facilities, and join as a part of God's family! Our talented program staff and session facilitators work together to provide opportunities for spiritual renewal, worship and so many activity choices. Mornings provide a time for children to be with program staff for a time of fun and learning. Adult campers are invited to a spiritual time of sharing led by the guest facilitator for the week. Afternoons are reserved for fun in the sun, enjoying the waterfront, hiking the trails or simply relaxing with friends and family. After dinner there’s time for special events including our talent night, theme night activities and a special mid-week communion service. “All Inclusive” fees include all programs, meals and evening snacks, bedding, towels and lodging. Please note special rates for young children and inquire about discounts. Costs: see Rates page. Dear Family Campers, The program theme for the summer is, "Chosen”. Daily themes will rejuvenate you while looking at the God who chooses us out of this giving-self-away kind of love in order that we might live in a similar way with each other. Our Program staff will lead singing, skits and campfires based on this theme. Each morning after "Morning Jam" (singing, drama and prayer), the program staff will lead sessions with children 2 years & older for 1.5 hours. During this time the resource leader will lead conversational discussions for the adults. The sessions for all will be centered on our theme, “Chosen”. Check out our website to see who the resource leader is the week you are at camp www.luthervillage.ca There are many recreation opportunities in the afternoon and evenings while at camp. The beautiful waters of Dogtooth Lake and the sunsets over Echo Bay invite you to join in a number of activities: swimming, relaxing on our sandy beach, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and tubing, taking a pontoon boat ride. Besides these attractions, we also have hiking trails, campfires, volleyball, archery, crafts and blueberry picking to name a few. Some special activities during the week include a worship service with Holy Communion, a night hike and other surprises! Over the years, an essential part of our five weeks of Family Camps has been our unique and fun theme night. Theme night is as successful as YOU make it! Your participation makes it that much more fun! The exciting theme chosen for this year is: “Under The Sea”. Join us to see what seaside & underwater adventures will take place! Bring along your favorite sea related costume! Fish, octopus, mermaids and mermen; see what the fishing rod snags and swim your way to theme night! Help us make this one of the best theme nights! This night is a blast when everyone participates in it enthusiastically, so plan your costume now! If you are not already eating meals in the dining hall, you may want to join us for Theme Night supper and activities. As long as there is room and you have given 24 hour notice, we can accommodate you. Whatever ideas the program staff have up their sleeves you are guaranteed a unique and fun-filled evening! More Special Events: Our 20th annual Silent Auction will take place over the summer months. Come and bid on the unique items donated to this fun-raising event! Help us have a great auction this year! If you want to donate a handmade or new item for the summer auction (or a winter auction) let us know so we can arrange for the item to get out to camp by the end of May. Our camp store has snack items available to purchase such as frozen ice cream treats, chips, candy bars, pop, bottled water and juice. There will be souvenirs such as t-shirts, hoodies, caps, our CD “Hear by the Water”, other souvenir items and postcards sold at camp, to take home a memory of your week.
