Are there bears at camp?
Sometimes! It depends on the season, but educating campers in proper garbage disposal and what to do if you see a bear has cut down tremendously on our bear population.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes! We have a washer, dryer and clothesline! The wash machine is coin operated ($1 per load) and the dryer in $1 per load as well.
Can I launch my boat there?
Yes. It costs $10 to launch your boat. If you would like the LV staff to launch it for you, it will cost $15.
Can I shower there if I am not a registered camper (camping on the lake?)
Yes. We ask you to leave us a small donation to do so.
Do you sell firewood?
As we use firewood for our own program use, there is not much “extra”. What we do have we will sell for $8 per bundle.
Do you sell fishing licenses?
Sorry, we do not. The MNR feels that there enough places in the area that sell them already.
What is available in your store?
We sell camp souvenir items such as t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, caps, bibs, and more! We also have snacks such as chocolate bars, chips, ice cream, pop & fruit juice. In a crunch, as long as we have on stock in our main kitchen, we may also have milk & bread available.
Don't forget to pick up your container of Ricksalt.
What does your symbol mean?
Our symbol (logo) has a wonderful explanation. The curve at the top symbolizes a shepherds hook, the curve at the bottom is a fishing hook – fishers-of-men and the fishing available at Luther Village, and the cross symbolizes our Christian faith.
